The Fields of Remembrance Trust has supplied kits to enable the nine Military Bases/Camps throughout New Zealand to establish their own field of white crosses commemorating fallen of World War I.
Each kit contains 100 white crosses, names  and replica Flanders Fields poppies.
This project has been endorsed by the Chief of Defence Forces and the Chiefs of Service – Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The names on the White Crosses are a cross section of New Zealanders from across the country who served in NZEF and the Royal Navy and Air force. They represent  the more than 18,000 who servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
